About the Program |

|
The program aims to convey the concept of art and design to candidates who understand and synthesize different art and design disciplines and who seek to equip and develop themselves in these fields. It also seeks to provide an environment for critical inquiry and practice aligned with the expectations of the contemporary period. Candidates who meet the announced eligibility criteria may apply. The portfolio must be submitted in the form of an A4-sized booklet. Audio-visual materials may be submitted on a USB flash drive. |

Graduates of Fine Arts Institutes and relevant institutes who have completed thesis-based master’s programs in the following fields may apply to the Proficiency in Art program: Art and Design, Plastic Arts, Design Studies, Painting, Sculpture, Art, Printmaking, Traditional Turkish Arts, Ceramics, Glass, Ceramics and Glass Design, Film Design, Cinema and Television, Animation, Photography and Video, Photography, Architecture, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, Stage Design, Music Technology, Textile Major Art Department, Textile and Fashion Design Major Art Department. Note: Applications from candidates whose educational background does not meet the student source requirements will not be accepted. ALES Requirement – Important Notice: For candidates applying with a master’s degree, ALES is not required if they are graduates of Fine Arts Faculties, conservatory undergraduate programs, or equivalent undergraduate programs of other faculties. All other undergraduate degree holders must have a minimum score of 60 in the ALES Verbal score type and must upload the relevant documents to the system. |

Scientific Examination: Written Exam (60%) + Portfolio (40%) Written Exam:A written or multiple-choice test examination will be conducted to assess the candidate’s knowledge of art and design, including key concepts, artists, artworks, and art events. Portfolio: Candidates must submit a portfolio file containing their art and design works produced during their undergraduate and graduate education and, if applicable, afterward, on the announced written examination date. The portfolio must be submitted as an A4-sized booklet. Audio-visual materials may be submitted on a USB flash drive.
