MASTER of ARTS IN PERFORMING ARTS

PROFILE OF THE PROGRAM 

Master’s Degree in Performing Arts aims to maintain an educational program which involves the to train intellectual, creative, innovative and productive performing arts theorists, critics, playwrights and dramaturgs for dramatic repertoire covering writing for stage, screen, radio and commercials, along with basic qualification principles and necessary lectures on theory of acting on stage, also to qualify art directors scenery, costume, lighting and make-up designers besides puppetry. Beside the department s selective courses generally focusing on performing arts and dramaturgy subjects, students have right to choose a course from the courses thought by the institute of fine arts other main art branches programmes within least total obligatory credit on a subject of their interest, taking approval of the head of the department, within the master study time.

Graduates of Performing Arts, Musicology, Textile and Fashion Designs, Film Design (in Faculty of Fine Arts), Theatre (in State Conservatory), Performing Arts (in State Consevatory – Opera Singing, Classic Ballet, Modern Dance), Turkish Language and Literature (in Faculty of Languages History and Geograph), English Language and Literature (in Faculty of Letters), Interior Design (in Faculty of Architecture), Department of Tourism Animation (in Vocational School Tourism and Hotel Management – 4 years programme).
